We recently developed another way for you to get news from DeSmogBlog. It’s a widget (or, if you’re on Windows Vista, a gadget).
What’s a widget? In a nutshell, it’s a little program that sits on your Apple OS X or Windows Vista desktop and does something neat. There are widgets and gadgets for nearly everything, and now there’s one for DeSmogBlog lovers.
Our widget displays current DeSmogBlog news. Plus, it’s got a counter that shows the planet’s estimated accumulated carbon footprint since January 1, 2007.

Install Our Widget
Our widget works with the following operating systems:
- Apple OS X 10.4 or later
- Windows Vista
To install our widget, just download it below, double-click the zip file to extract the widget, and then double-click the widget file itself. It’s easy as pie.
