Jairo Marcos is a freelance reporter and photojournalist based in Spain. He was born in Burgos and suffers from chronic curiosity. Precariousness, philosophy and journalism are the three vital horizons from where he asks his freelance questions for different media outlets and organizations. He is the co/author of several books, including most recently Memorias ahogadas (Pepitas, 2024) and has taught at the public Spanish university. His awards include the Joan Gomis for his journalistic body of work regarding water issues.
