Jamie Smith Hopkins is DeSmog’s Interim Managing Editor. She is an investigative editor with deep experience in climate reporting, newsroom collaborations and inequality coverage. Before DeSmog, she was an editor and senior reporter at the Center for Public Integrity and a reporter at The Baltimore Sun. Recognition for the projects she’s managed or reported include honors from the Society of Environmental Journalists, the Best in Business Awards, the Edward R. Murrow Awards and a Philip Meyer Journalism Award special citation. A narrative podcast she hosted was a Peabody Award finalist.
