New Scientist slams Canada's inaction

The December issue of New Scientist pulls no punches in its editorial titled: Canada faces the wrong way on climate change.

As usual it is a subcription-only article, but here’s a snippet:

“If there is one nation that should be acutely aware of how damaging climate change could be it is Canada. Its northern wilderness has been romanticised in literature, has inspired great art, and remains a treasured element in the national character. Yet instead of leading the charge to halt global warming, the Canadian government led by Stephen Harper is retreating.”

Kevin also worked in various roles in the British Columbia provincial government in the Office of the Premier and the Ministry of Health. In 2008 Kevin co-founded a groundbreaking new online election tool called Vote for Environment which was later nominated for a World Summit Award in recognition of the world’s best e-Content and innovative ICT applications. Kevin moved to Washington, DC in 2010 where he worked for two years as the Director of Online Strategy for Greenpeace USA and has since returned to his hometown of Vancouver, Canada.
