Executive Director

Brendan is Executive Director of DeSmog. He is also a writer focused on disinformation and corporate accountability.

Editor-in-Chief & CEO

Hazel Healy is DeSmog UK’s Editor-in-Chief and CEO. She majors in climate and food politics investigations, which have featured on the likes of The Guardian and the BBC. She lives in Oxford.

Global Managing Editor

Geoff Dembicki is Global Managing Editor of DeSmog and author of The Petroleum Papers. He’s based in Montreal.

Deputy Editor

Phoebe leads investigations on European politics, food and farming, and occasionally dips into other subjects too.

Global Investigations Editor

Matthew leads DeSmog’s coverage of the global climate crisis, energy politics, and the struggles for environmental justice through an international lens.

Deputy Editor

Sam leads DeSmog’s coverage of UK politics, and was previously an investigative journalist at the BBC.

Canada Editor/Reporter

Mary leads DeSmog’s Canada coverage. She is based in Tiohtià:ke/ Montréal.

Ashley leads DeSmog’s U.S. coverage, focusing on the oil and gas industry, disinformation, and climate crisis denial.

Brigitte is a researcher at DeSmog, covering industrial aquaculture. Her work focuses on revealing conflicts of interest, greenwashing and unethical supply chains of the fish farming sector.

Clare specialises in food politics, and has exposed environmental harms in the meat, pesticides, and fertiliser sectors.
