Global warming is an issue of “particular urgency” says UN chief

Ban told the 31st United Nations International School – United Nations Conference on “Global Warming: Confronting the Crisis” that climate change will be one of his top priorities as secretary general.

“The world needs a more coherent system of international environmental governance. We need to invest more in green technologies and smarter policies. And we need to do far more to adapt to global warming and its effects,” he said.
