Congratulations to our long-time colleagues Emma Gilchrist and Carol Linnitt, who are launching The Narwhal today to continue to advance more constructive conversations aboutย energy and environmentย issues that are critical to Canada’sย future.

Check out their new website at thenarwhal.ca for top-quality independent news and analysis, and follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram if you don’tย already.

The Narwhal will build upon the success of its predecessor, DeSmog Canada, which Linnitt and Gilchrist have led sinceย its launch inย 2013.

โ€œThe Narwhal looks forward to continuing to collaborate with the DeSmog network,โ€ Gilchrist said. โ€œWe’re grateful for the support of our DeSmog colleagues around the world, whomย both Carol and I have learned so much from over theย years.โ€ย

The feeling is certainly mutual, Emma and Carol! Thanks for all the energy and commited leadership you’ve brought to the team, and we look forward to watching you dive deeper to fill a much-needed role in Canada’s independent media landscape with Theย Narwhal!ย
