Does Glenn Beck really believe what he says?

CNN shock jock, Glenn Beck will take to the airwaves tonight with what our friends at Media Matters are calling an โ€œHour Long Global Warming Smear-Fest.โ€

Beck has long been critical of Al Gore and frequently tows the global warming denial line. But does Beck really mean what he says?

Or is he just the latest in a string of shock-hosts willing to shirk minor details like the overwhelming scientific evidence for human-caused global warming?

After all it was Beck who stated: โ€œAl Goreโ€™s not going to be rounding up Jews and exterminating them. It is the same tactic, however.โ€

Beck continues on to say: โ€œThe goal is globalization. The goal is global carbon tax. The goal is the United Nations running the world. That is the goal. Back in the 1930s, the goal was get rid of all of the Jews and have one global government. You got to have an enemy to fight. And when you have an enemy to fight, then you can unite the entire world behind you, and you seize power. That was Hitlerโ€™s plan. His enemy: the Jew. Al Goreโ€™s enemy, the U.N.โ€™s enemy: global warming.โ€

โ€œThen you get the scientists โ€“ eugenics. You get the scientists โ€“ global warming. Then you have to discredit the scientists who say, โ€˜Thatโ€™s not right.โ€™ And you must silence all dissenting voices. Thatโ€™s what Hitler did.โ€

Ironically, Beckโ€™s calling his show tonight โ€œExposed: a climate of fear.โ€

Beckโ€™s outrageous Nazi quote alone is enough to make me think Beck doesnโ€™t actually believe what he says, because it would be impossible to work as hard as he does to spread misinformation about global warming all day and then not sleep all night.
