The observation that natural climate variability exists is not a newย one.

Early in September 2009, at a gathering of experts on global climate change, one of the worldโ€™s most respected and experienced climate modelers, Mojib Latif, made some observations on climate, media and humanย nature.

The message seemed clear-
natural variations in the long term warming might be misinterpretedย
by the media. out of ignorance, orย malice.

Climate deniers were quick to take Latifโ€™s remarks, and begin
doing exactlyย that.

You can listen to Latifโ€™s original remarks, here, by clicking on the
recording titled โ€œAdvancing climate predictionย scienceโ€.
