Edwards tops Democratic poll with stand on emissions cuts

The former U.S. Senator and vice-presidential candidate John Edwards won the poll with about 33 per cent of theย vote.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich was runner-up with about 15 percent support, ahead of Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama. According to a spokesman for MoveOn, 95,284 people votedย online.

Eli Pariser, executive director of MoveOn, said interest the group has seen among its members on global warming โ€œemphasizes how important it will be for our next president to make solving the climate crisis a top priority inย 2008.โ€
