The Edmund Burke Foundation runs National Conservatism, which features a regular conference (NatCon). National Conservatism describes the EBF as “a new public affairs institute dedicated to developing a revitalized conservatism for the age of nationalism already upon us.”²“Overview,” National Conservatism. Christopher DeMuth, former president of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), was listed as a director of the Edmund Burke Foundation as of its 2022 tax return.

Stance on Climate Change

While the Edmund Burke Foundation does not appear to have released an official stance on climate change, as DeSmog has reported in the past, concerning its National Conservatism events, “speakers and their parent organizations have a record of hostility to climate action, a skepticism of climate science, and interests in fossil fuels.”³Joey Grostern and Adam Barnett. “Cabinet Ministers Join Outspoken Climate Science Deniers at National Conservatism Conference,” DeSmog, May 15, 2023.
